Holding our Gaping Need

It's been 3 days without water here in Ohakune, and a stark reminder of what it feels like to live without having primary needs met...

Have you endured periods of time without what you needed most too?

Our water was restored today at 5pm today (after an earthquake damaged pipes leading to leaking water reserves)

I actually cried when I heard the sound of water running from my en-suite sink...

While we have had drinking water, we haven’t been able to shower in our home, do any dishes, or laundry... So, we've been creative with bottled water and using the kettle to boil water where needed.

Grief can feel a lot like living without being able to have your needs met. We can feel cut off from supply... Like what was once prolific, is sudden non-existent!

Whether it's a friend, family member, family pet, occupation, business or partnership ending... something that we once relied upon is no longer available.

Can you relate?

I'm currently investing my heart in writing my 5th book and this is the quote I received intuitively that it begins with:

"We become the substance of the absence we endure"

In other words, we become whatever has been missing in our lives, simply by enduring not having it... it forms within us. (This is then, very often the medicine we bring to business and what we become known for!)
